This project created an interactive visualization of data on incidents that occurred in Canada Energy Regulator (CER) regulated pipelines and facilities from 2008 to now. It is the first of a series of visualizations being prepared over three years through a collaboration between the CER, the University of Calgary’s iLab, VizworX, TheHesterView, and others (See the “About This Project” button on the incidents page for the full list). Together, the team is transforming the way the CER structures and shares its data. The user-friendly visualizations are accessible to all Canadians, enabling higher engagement, deeper understanding, and evidence-based decision-making.
